This little baby is having her annual checkup. The nurse lowers her top to begin the examination(babies don't need to worry about modesty). Her breathing is listened to, heartrate checked, and then comes the surprise. "Okay sweetie, I need to take your temperature" the nurse tells her. She opens her mouth but is quickly corrected. "I'm afraid that's not how we take babies' temperatures, this goes in your bottom." She is turned over and her diaper is lowered. Soon the nurse inserts the thermometer into her rectum and baby has to lay still until it is removed. After a full three minutes the nurse inspects the thermometer but is concerned by what she sees. She decides to take it again to be sure. Baby just wants it to be done.
